PROFESSIONAL CHARTERED INSURANCE BROKERS
Established in 1935, Millins Chartered Insurance Brokers, or Millins as it is affectionately known, has been independently owned and run by the Millin family since 1963.
Millins Potted History
Established in 1935 and owned by the Millin family since 1963, Millins has always striven to do the right thing in all aspects of business life. Our founder John Millin, now retired, supported numerous insurance organisations locally. He was Chairman of the Southport Local Committee of The Insurance Institute of Liverpool in the 1970s and again in the 1980s. John was the also the First Chairman of the Lancashire Region of the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA).
Wendy Cook (John’s daughter and the firm’s present Managing Director) in the 1990-2000s represented the North West on the National Advisory Council of the Society of Technicians in Insurance, and was a Council member of the Insurance Institute of Liverpool, becoming Deputy President for a brief time before being awarded an exceptional service medal in 2004.
We believe in providing excellent customer service and strive to exceed our clients expectations. We do not have a call centre and all of our staff are trained to assess and focus on the individual needs of each and every one of our clients. You’ll never hear us say that we can’t do something as “the computer won’t let us”. We believe that our can and will do attitude sets us apart. This approach allows us to deliver the first class bespoke service that in today’s increasingly complex and regulated society our clients do appreciate.
Each team member has individually completed the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Ethics Course. We are delighted to have achieved Chartered Insurance Broker status as we believe that this accreditation complements our vision perfectly.
