Established in 1935, Millins Chartered Insurance Brokers, or Millins as it is affectionately known, has been independently owned and run by the Millin family since 1963. In 2010, we are celebrating our firms 75th year in Insurance Broking. We specialise two areas, commercial insurances and horse/equestrian insurances.

Meet the team ...
	Wendy Cook ACII joined Millins in 1989 and manages our office on a day to day basis, including Compliance and Complaints Handling. She is experienced in Insurance and in the horse world. In 1984 she attained the BHSAI and in 1986 BHSII and is a registered Instructor with the British Horse Society. She first qualified in Insurance in 1990, and is now a Chartered Insurance Broker. 	John Millin managed our family business since 1963, he is now retired. However, with nearly 50 years insurance broking experience John continues to provide invaluable support focusing on commercial client liaison and providing consultancy as and when required.	Our office is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 1.00pm, then 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Personal callers are always welcome, but we recommend that you telephone in advance to be sure that the person you need to see is available. Visits to your home / business can be arranged on request. Out of hours an answer phone is available, please let us know when it is convenient for us to return your call. How to Find Us Visit Google Maps and search for Millins to see our precise location, access to our private car park is via Goodyears Business Park. Directions from M6 Leave the M6 at junction 27, head West on the A5209 sign posted Parbold. After approximately 4 ˝ miles, you will go down the very steep Parbold Hill, as the hill levels out, turn right on to Lancaster Lane (B5246) signposted Mawdesley. After approx 1 mile, turn left in to Maltkiln Lane (signposted Mawdesley). Follow the road for 1 ž miles, and you will find our offices on the right hand side, just after Angela Burnett's estate agents. If you reach the Red Lion in the centre of Mawdesley village, you have gone too far. Accommodation We recommend The Wrightington Hotel & Country Club it is en-route from the M6, jct 27, just over 7 miles away and has a well equipped gym and good size swimming pool.
	Andy Smith ACII, BA (Hons) joined Millins in 2007 as Commercial Broking Manager. Previously with Chartwell Insurance Brokers and Aon, he has over 25 years industry experience. Andy is a Chartered Insurance Broker and has a remarkable depth of insurance expertise having advised clients in many varied industries and professions on both insurance and risk management issues. At Millins he is responsible for our non-equestrian commercial clients and promoting growth of our commercial portfolio.
	Nicola Wainwright DipCII, BSc (Hons) joined Millins in 1999. She graduated in 1996 from Bishop Burton College with her degree in Equine & Business Management. In 2005 Nicola completed the Chartered Insurance Institute's Diploma in Insurance. She has a lifetime's experience with horses and competes on her own horses at BSJA level. The photo shows Nicola competing on "Colleen" an 8 year old Irish mare at Rowallan Activity Centre in Scotland in the Discovery 2nd round. At Millins she is responsible for the operation of our Horse Insurance Scheme and Equestrian Commercial Liability and Equestrian Property Insurances.
	Clair Sanders Joined Millins in 2005 as an Insurance Handler. Clair has experience in both Personal and Commercial Insurance and at Millins is responsible for most retail insurances - such as House Contents, Household Buildings, Holiday/Second Homes, Horseboxes and Breakdown Recovery for Horseboxes. In 2006, Clair completed the Chartered Insurance Institute's Foundation Insurance Test.
	Mandy Rowe joined Millins in 2004 as Accounts Adminstrator and is simply the backbone of Millin Insurance Services. Mandy keeps close watch over our premium accounts, premium financing and ensures that funds are both collected and sent on to insurers in good time.
